Welcome

Hello and Welcome to the California Gourd Society a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to providing the cultivation, education and fabrication of hard shell gourds to all whom are interested. We are Farmers, Artists, Gardeners, Crafters, Gourd Enthusiast’s, Teachers and individual’s who want to see the history and future of the “Hard Shell Gourd” preserved.

Established in 1997 and incorporated with the American Gourd Society in 1999, CGS is made up of 17 satellite “Gourd Patches” located throughout California and includes approximately 400 members. (Click here to find a Gourd Patch in your area)

We welcome you and encourage you to join the California Gourd Society or CGS as we so lovingly say. You may pay your dues through PayPal or you can print out a membership application and send it in with a check or money order (click here).

The California Gourd Society is also a state chapter of the American Gourd Society and works in conjunction with AGS to promote gourd enthusiasm.
