Welcome to the On-line Remote Gourd Patch meeting. This is open to all CGS members. We meet via Zoom the 4th Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

Do you have difficulty getting to a local meeting?

CGS would like to offer you the opportunity to meet with other gourd artists to share ideas and techniques.

Apprentice Judge Requirements (following training, to become Certified)

Maintain AGS membership (Join or renew if necessary)

Be a judge or clerk in gourd show competition and a participant refresher session within 2 years of initial training

Notify AGS when you have judged and/or done a continuing education session to maintain certification (Judges Activity form is on website)

Certified Judges Requirements

Maintain AGS membership

Be a judge or clerk in gourd show competition at least once every 3 years

Participate in a continuing education session: refresher or practice session at least once every 3 years

Stay up to date

Annual Gourd Groups Leadership Meeting

Group Learders have been sent the address.

Cecile Garrison has very graciously offered her Visalia home for the meeting. This will be held on Friday April 26 from 9:00 until 4:00. We will have a formal meeting from 9 to noon, followed by lunch and then a fun project. Please bring wood burners if possible, everything else will be provided. Just visiting Cecile and seeing her wonderful home and gourds is a treat in itself. Please note we have limited space, and each patch leader is allowed to bring one guest, but please limit it to one.

California Gourd Society 2022 Fundraiser - The "Gourd Quilt or Mosaic Tiles"

The "Gourd Quilt or Mosaic Tiles" gourd art is offered as opportunity drawing prizes at the
“Gourds and Baskets: Containers of our Culture”
Event in Visalia, California
April 23, 2022

This was a 50/50 fundraiser with CGS Gourd Artist Groups. Proceeds benefit the statewide educational outreach of the California Gourd Society and its gourd artists groups. Funds are also used by the individual gourd groups to help offset the cost of sending their representative/leader to the annual Regional Rep meeting and for the Northern and Southern Program Directors to host the meeting.
